Job Description

Scope of Position:

To promote the success of Expeditors by directing the Company's financial affairs, within a framework of prudent and effective controls, which enable risk to be assessed and managed through focus on Finances, Operations, People, Customers, Systems, Culture and Compliance in adherence to the company's policy and procedures.

This is a senior leadership position for a seasoned finance professional to lead a large function within a Fortune 500 multinational organization.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

Lead and own all internal and external reporting, including SEC reporting and US GAAP complianceLead and own all technical accounting, including global accounting policiesLead a large team (hundreds of professionals) across the globe in support of our the missionBe the point person and lead the relationship with KPMG, our external auditorsParticipate meaningfully in preparing and leading relevant conversations with the Audit Committee of the Board of DirectorsOwn and oversee all tax and regulatory compliance issues including the preparation and submission of information to statutory authorities for Payroll, VAT and various indirect taxes.Lead and oversee management's assessment of internal control over financial reporting in accordance with the Sarbanes Oxley ActBe a strategic partner to the executive team, the CFO and business operators around the globeDevelop the team and bench within the department to create enhanced capabilities to allow for internal promotions and provide adequate backfill capabilities for all positionsLead and develop a highly performing global team, with a high level of morale and sense of purposeServe as a senior business leader to help the organization achieve its goalsOwn and develop / evolve the systems and tools within Finance to support a large and growing Fortune 500 companyLead and own the stock administration functionProactively lead and promote the company’s 10 cultural attributes such that they are embodied within your organization:  Appearance, Attitude, Confidence, Curiosity, Excellence, Integrity, Pride, Resolute, Sense of Humor, and Visionary.Perform other responsibilities as needed by the CFO, CEO or executive team

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting or FinanceBig 4 ExperienceCPA (can be inactive status)12+ years of qualified experienceStrong leadership experience

Desired Qualifications

15-20 years experience in finance / accountingTechnically proficient in US GAAPExperience leading large, multi-function teams in a global companyStrong leadership skillsStrong communication skillsBroader finance experience (eg. Treasury, IR, FP&A, Tax, Corporate Finance, etc.)

Additional Information

Expected base salary: $100,000
