Vice President Credit Administration
Description Apply Now Open sharing options Save Saved Share This is an exciting opportunity to lead credit risk function at a fast-growing bank. In this role, you will be in charge of developing lending credit risk appetite and credit strategies to drive prudent lending growth and expansion and deepen client relationships. You will be responsible for all aspects of credit administration for lending products, including credit approval, policy administration, loan and environmental review, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead bank credit function for real estate, consumer, security-based lending products. Develop and execute on credit risk appetite and credit strategies and adapt them to changing circumstances as required to support prudent lending growth and lending product expansion with product standards, credit policies and guidelines, credit processes and controls, etc. Effectively collaborate with external partners and internal stakeholders to expand client access to credit and drive strong risk adjusted return to shareholders.Manage, monitor, and maintain a structured and systematic approach to the way credit risks are identified, measured, and pro-actively managed. Evolve and enhance scope and capabilities of credit management including underwriting, exception, due diligence, etc., and credit risk management using data/MIS, credit scores, key risk indicators, loss mitigation, concentration management, stress testing, loss forecasting and reserving, credit modeling and analytics, etc. to ensure the safety and soundness of credit risk taking and management.Oversee loan portfolio performance and lending credit metrics with leading indicators, trending analysis, projection, etc. to determine the risk/reward profile. Monitor and report to executive management, the Board of Directors, and regulators on a regular basis.Manage the budget for lending credit function to effectively identify and solve potential challenges and opportunities. Lead projects to drive new credit initiatives and improve operational efficiency.Provide effective leadership to credit team, including coaching, mentoring, development, and performance review and feedback. Retain high performers and thoughtfully grow and add talent.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of retail credit risk management experience in the banking industry7+ years of leadership experienceBachelor's degree (or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degreeExperience in financial advisory, wealth management or private bankingExperience and knowledge of security-based lending, commercial lending, specialty lendingStrong knowledge of lending markets, products and economics, especially real estate lending and consumer lendingStrong banking background across multiple lending functional areas (underwriting, risk management, compliance, operations, servicing)Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and execution of credit and risk management principlesProven risk management, leadership, and relationship skills. Ability to think strategically and lead through changeProven ability to influence and collaborate across business lines to achieve resultsStrong technical skills including knowledge of data management and programming, analytical and problem-solving skills including ability to build business cases/proposalsExcellent project management and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to present to all levels of management including executive leadership as well as regulators

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $180,200 - $243,200/year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
