The Role As Vice President, Cyber Security Architecture & Product Management, you will lead a team responsible for identifying, designing, developing, and maintaining GSK’s enterprise cyber security architecture, ensuring it is aligned with business goals, while setting the threat-led product vision and direction for the Information Technology (IT)/Operational Technology (OT) product teams including monitoring and assessment of competitive and emerging solutions. You will play a crucial role in defining security solutions to safeguard our critical IT and OT infrastructure within the manufacturing and R&D areas, balancing security, user experience and productivity through a risk-based approach. Reporting to the CISO, this role will engage and form alignment with affiliated senior professionals in Tech and across areas of the business including R&D and Global Supply Chain, Global Functions and Commercial. You will manage very senior stakeholders across these businesses, while demonstrating a balanced and pragmatic approach to security. Responsibilities: Setting the enterprise cyber security architecture, product vision, and direction for the IT/OT product teams including monitoring and assessment of competitive solutions Development of business cases for new investments required to meet evolving IT/OT threats Collaboration with the Cyber Defense (Security Operations) and engineering teams to define the product roadmap, improve tool rationalisation and optimisation across IT and OT while embedding continuous improvement feedback from our advanced threat team to continuously improve monitoring and response capabilities Leverage AI / ML and emerging capabilities from suppliers to defend from the increasing velocity and sophistication of attacks, such as vishing, smishing, deepfakes, etc. You and your team will help us stay ahead of these emerging threats, including Post Quantum Cryptography, etc. You and your team will also secure our internal innovation and AI capabilities, leveraging frameworks like OWASP Top 10 LLM and NIST, Mitre Att&ck, etc. Work with counterparts in the business to safeguard industrial control systems from being accessed and exploited by unauthorised users Secure R&D innovation and Smart Manufacturing, and create readiness plans to react to opportunities and consequences of emerging technologies (quantum, AI, graph technologies, etc.) Deliver on commitments towards IT/OT agility improvements for manufacturing Integrate a deep understanding of manufacturing business requirements on the horizon into executable plans and embed this into the culture of the organisation Provide technical IT/OT thought leadership within the Cyber Security organisation, across tech and in the external cyber ecosystem through established relationships with CISOS, CTOs, universities, and relevant government cyber and law enforcement agencies Provide leadership, direction and development of a multi-disciplined function comprised of approximately 60 staff across the US, UK, Poland and India, including architects, product managers and OT cyber security specialists including Director and Senior Director level staff in a matrixed, virtual environment Basic qualifications: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Information Systems 10+ years of experience in IT and Operational Technology (OT) Experience of legal and/or regulatory matters in the context of enterprise IT and OT security 10+ years of experience in secure architecture and design 10+ years of experience in firewalls, network security and OT security and protocols Experience of security technology including, but not limited to IAM, end point, cloud, SIEM and industrial technologies Experience of enterprise architecture and security frameworks like TOGAF, NIST, CIS, etc. CISSP certified OT/ICS Certified Security Professional Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Computer Science 5+ years experience in IT and/or OT in global pharma and/or a life sciences company Strong written and verbal communications skills and proven experience in conveying a vision to highly technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership and board levels Ability to work across boundaries, both organisationally and geographically Strategic Vendor Management experience Strategy Formulation experience with a global perspective Please visit GSK US Benefits Summary to learn more about the comprehensive benefits program GSK offers US employees.
