Purpose:
The VP of Design Services primary responsibilities will be to create and lead strategic Design initiatives, lead the SSC Design team and indirectly guide and drive Design initiatives with the Senior Director of Regional Merchandising. This position will champion Design Services utilizing the CARE model to differentiate our customer service experience from the competition. The VP of Design Services will serve and be a close partner to the DVP, VP Merchandising stores, SDROs, SDRMs and SSC leadership. These alignments will be a vital link between the Design services team and the organization to drive our Design Services strategy.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Prefer 5+ years of relevant experience with the ability to analyze strength and weaknesses of Floor & Decor, as well competitive strategies, formulate business plans and influence multiple constituencies to achieve prioritized strategic goals. Can develop a solid business plan and work collaboratively to ensure ROI on company investments.Must possess leadership and communication abilities to drive ideas and execution across the organization. Clear and concise communicator for written and presentation skills.Strategic and innovative thinker with the experience and ability to recognize, influence and maximize design services trends and the analytical ability to evaluate data and develop recommendations to continually improve based on Design strategies.Must be able to lead through others and influence change for hiring, retaining and growing strong department leaders and associates across the organization for design services.Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.Must be highly analytical and possess effective decision making, organization and planning skills.Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with Salesforce, Excel and Word.Essential Job Functions:
Strategically design a value-added service program that differentiates F&D from the competition for both consumer and PRO customers. Evaluate all design programs within and outside our industry to build a world class program that provides an enhanced customer experience and has measurable impact on our customer and sales.Build and communicate strategic and measurable goals that ensure productivity and ROI associated with design services. Manage the vision for the in-store or home experience for the Design Studio and ensure best practices from core and studio are shared.Develop and effectively communicate Design Services strategies to educate, train and drive execution and service in the stores and across field leadership.Consistently review key performance indicators across regions to identify and address opportunities for improvement.Drive results by utilizing defined metrics; champion and influence productivity associated with Design Services.Develop strategies to increase sales, average ticket and conversion by driving higher performance through our associate and customer experience.Create and monitor in-store training on processes and tools to enable F&D stores to deliver a consistent “best in class” customer experience to drive sales.Be a champion and coach for SDRMs, CEMs and overall store leadership teams.Collaborate with SSC Operations team on labor and in-store positions to further enhance the customer experience. Set high standards for a key service that differentiates and distances F&D from National, Regional & Independent competitors.Work closely with VP PRO Services to establish in-store and in field alignment with RPDS, PSMs and RAMs to provide a full compliment of services and project management capabilities through Design Services. Help develop and implement the tools & technology that will always improve the associate and customer experience by collaborating with SSC and store leadership teams with a defined feedback process that ensures they are utilized as intended. Work closely with FP&A team to ensure all planning, budgeting and P&L assumptions are accurately completed annually and monitored monthly. P&L management for Design Services.Continuously drive improvement through team engagement, empowerment and accountability.Working Conditions (travel & environment)
Limited travel required including air and car travel.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
