Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid - four days per week in office)

About the Role
We are assisting our client in the search for an experienced Vice President of Finance to oversee all finance and accounting functions. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for managing a finance team, ensuring compliance, overseeing financial reporting, and driving the company's continued growth and profitability. The VP of Finance will work closely with leadership to scale operations and meet client needs.

What You'll Do

Accounting Management: Oversee daily accounting functions and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for leadership.Financial Oversight: Manage the general ledger, month-end/quarter-end/year-end closing processes, and ensure compliance with GAAP.Cash Management & FP&A: Lead strategic cash management, financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning & analysis activities.Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing finance team, ensuring collaboration and efficiency.Strategic Decision-Making: Provide financial insights to support business decisions and contribute to long-term growth strategies.Process Improvement: Continuously improve financial reporting systems, cost controls, and operational efficiency.Compensation & Payroll: Oversee payroll, compensation programs, and benefits administration, including incentive commissions, bonuses, and tax filings.Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with external auditors, financial partners, and other key stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Education: Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.Experience: 10+ years in finance/accounting with a focus on financial reporting, treasury management, and strategic financial planning.Leadership: Proven experience managing and building finance teams in a fast-paced environment.Skills: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Salesforce) is a plus.Analytical: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with great attention to detail.Integrity: Ability to handle confidential financial data with discretion and integrity.Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to senior leadership.Commitment: Ability to be present in the Boston office 4+ days a week with flexibility as needed.
