The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis will play a critical role in supporting the financial activities of Duravant and its’ Operating Companies. Reporting directly to the CFO and a key business partner with the Operating Company leadership, this Finance leader will be responsible for supporting the annual planning, reforecast planning, and long-range strategic planning process, understanding of key business drivers and creating analyses that support decision making within the businesses and across the enterprise. The VP of FP&A will deliver value-added business analyses as well as define and report meaningful financial and operational metrics. As a strategic and hands on leader, the Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis will work directly in the field, with the operations, to drive growth, profitability, and cash goals. The ideal candidate must be assertive, influential, self-directed, innovative, and driven by details.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role will be to both support the CFO from a corporate function as well as support the Operating Company leadership Analyze and understand the monthly financial results of the operating company including operating performance trends, actual versus Plan/Reforecast and key metrics. Provide value added insight on the results Leverage use of external drivers including end-market trends, regional trends and economic indicators to understand actual results and evaluate future forecasts for the business Review forecasts and provide proactive feedback based upon external and internal trends. Monitor, understand and communicate how macroeconomic environment and end-market dynamics impact the results of the business. Coordinate the Annual Plan, Reforecast and Long-range planning process Manage process to track and analyze results relating to the enterprise initiatives. Prepare benchmark analysis of key competitors Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and participate in operational projects to support leadership. Prepare analysis and presentations in support of Board meetings and senior leadership meetings.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field required, advanced degree a plus Minimum 10 years of finance and accounting experience with progressing roles of responsibility Prior experience working within a manufacturing business with strong manufacturing cost experience required. Outstanding analytical skills and a proven ability to connect data analysis with business issues and decisions. Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
