New York University seeks a passionate, collaborative leader to serve as the Vice President, Office of Global Inclusion (VP), at a key moment for the university. As the broader discussion evolves, this leader will need to bring a comprehensive approach that meets the moment and charts a course to best serve the university by advancing inclusion as well as instilling a sense of belonging and access to all that the university has to provide.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of University Life, Dr. Jason B. Pina, the VP of OGI will oversee efforts impacting undergraduate and graduate students, staff, and faculty. The VP will oversee programs and policies to promote an inclusive campus culture, particularly within NYU’s student services and operational units. The VP will manage a staff of over 70 professionals and approximately 50 student employees while overseeing OGI’s centers and communities: the Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP), Global Spiritual Life (GSL), LGBTQ+ Center, and the Moses Center for Students with Disabilities. The VP will also work closely with various global inclusion officers across the university, who do not report directly to the Office of Global Inclusion.

The VP should demonstrate strong interpersonal acumen and be prepared to influence across NYU’s large, decentralized structure. They should bring a deep understanding of global and local issues related to diversity of experience and perspective. They will need to know how to operate in an environment with multiple, sometimes competing, constituencies, and understand how to prioritize different needs. This role demands a strategic leader who is highly collaborative and adept at fostering relationships across NYU’s academic and operational units, serving as a central hub for inclusive collaboration across the university.
