Role Description:  

As a Vice President, Inside Sales for Homes.com, you will a lead dynamic team that operates as a strategic digital marketing partner to the residential real estate industry. You will lead a team of 5 Sr. Sales Directors who lead teams of 60 salespeople and leaders. The sales team is responsible for developing and driving revenue by selling digital advertising and marketing solutions to new customers, growing existing customer revenues, and ensuring high levels of customer service.  In your role, you will be accountable for overseeing the management of a large inside sales organization, coaching and developing sales leaders, partnering across the broader organization to design, build, and improve processes, and meet specific sales and revenue retention targets 

  

Responsibilities:   

Grow team revenues, meet, and exceed annual sales growth targets.  

Attract, hire, develop, and motivate high impact sales professionals and leaders capable of meeting/exceeding sales quotas.  

Establish individual and team performance targets that align with overall business goals.  

Provide coaching and training as necessary to enhance sales effectiveness.   

Manage the identification, prioritization and winning of new customer relationships and the retention and growth of our current customers.   

Monitor sales performance and hold sales team accountable to the required level of sales activity and customer relationships to ensure the achievement of business performance targets and standards.  

Design, build, and improve go-to-market processes, infrastructure, sales tools, reporting, and messaging by partnering with the Sales Effectiveness team, Marketing, and Product. 

Partner with senior sales leaders in other Costar Group brands (i.e. Apartments.com) to define best practices, improve talent management and retention, and improve go-to-market strategies. 

Provide performance updates to SVP of Homes.com Sales and other senior executives at the company including finance, product, and marketing. 

Ensure CoStar culture and Core Values are adopted by team members.  

  

Basic Qualifications:   

Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited, in-person college or university  

Minimum of 10+ years of people management experience directly leading and managing sales and/or operations professionals. 

External applicants are expected to have the following experience: 5 or more years of experience directly leading teams with >100 employees within Commercial Real Estate, Residential Real Estate or Digital Advertising and Marketing or related B2B organizations, including the ability to attract, hire, train, and develop a high performing sales team.  

Experience leading sales efforts in a fast-paced organization with a short cycle-time sales model.  

  

Preferred Qualifications and Skills   

Demonstrated ability to build long-term and sustainable relationships and business partnerships with customers at all levels.  

Demonstrated track record of leading large (>100) inside sales or inside operations teams and consistently meeting or exceeding business targets or goals.  

Effective internal (leadership, peers, teams, company-wide) and external (sales channels, customers, etc.) relationship building skills.  

Demonstrated ability to retain proven sales producers and manage non-producers.  

Ability to travel, if necessary.   

Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high growth company.
