Vice President - IT Operational and Process Excellence

We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking leader to join our organization as the Vice President of IT Operational and Process Excellence. This executive will be responsible for aligning IT initiatives with business goals, ensuring technology is leveraged to accelerate business growth, optimize operations, and enhance overall productivity. A key part of the role will be to lead the development and execution of IT strategies, manage performance metrics, and oversee the implementation of innovative technologies that drive business success. The Vice President will also drive resource optimization and lead change management efforts to ensure the smooth integration of new technologies and processes.

The role demands a visionary leader with expertise in IT operations, process optimization, and team development, alongside the ability to collaborate closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders to drive results. This leader will foster a high-performance IT team culture and be an influential advisor on emerging technologies and industry trends, positioning the organization for long-term success in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

Lead the execution of the IT strategy, aligning with overall business goals.Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure technology initiatives drive business growth and efficiency.Support the CIO to ensure execution of key strategic technology initiatives

Metrics & KPIs Management:

Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive performance metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of IT operations.Establish data-driven insights to measure success, assess risks, and improve operational outcomes.Present regular reports and dashboards to executive leadership and key stakeholders on IT performance and alignment with strategic objectives.

Operational Efficiency:

Identify and deliver opportunities for operational efficiencies through technology-driven improvements.Analyze current IT processes and workflows, and implement best practices for process optimization and automation.Lead cross-functional teams to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and reduce costs while maintaining service excellence.

 Enterprise Resource Management:

Lead the enterprise resource planning (ERP) strategy and ensure optimal resource allocation across the organization.Oversee IT budgeting, financial planning, and cost control, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently.Drive the adoption of innovative technologies and solutions that support enterprise-wide goals for resource management and scalability.

Change Management and Innovation:

Drive change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes.Champion innovation by fostering a collaborative culture that encourages experimentation and forward-thinking.Identify emerging trends and translate them into strategic opportunities for the organization.

Team Leadership:

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.Develop talent within the IT organization and ensure the team has the necessary skills and training to support current and future business needs.Collaborate with other business leaders to promote technology as a key enabler of business success.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field5+ years of experience in roles involving direct interaction and high influence with senior leadership, both internal and external. Demonstrates the ability to rapidly build rapport and trust across all departments, creating alignment among disparate senior stakeholders to commit to key talent initiatives.Familiarity with IT systems, infrastructure, and processes, including enterprise applications, networks, data centers, and security is preferred but not required.Demonstrates an ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Displays strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering innovative and pragmatic solutions.Possesses project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library), or Six Sigma may be beneficial.10+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT, with a focus on operational excellence, process improvement, and strategic IT management.Proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects, driving business transformation through technology, and leading high-performance teams.Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, IT budgeting, and resource allocation.Background in change management and innovation leadership, particularly in the adoption of new technologies and driving operational improvements.Expertise in IT governance, project management, and IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).Familiarity with data analytics and performance metrics development to track operational efficiency and project success.Strong leadership abilities with experience in leading cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with other business leaders.Excellent communication skills to articulate the value of IT initiatives and align technology strategies with business goals.Demonstrated ability to drive culture change within IT departments and the broader organization, especially in fostering innovation and adaptability.Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions and to manage both long-term strategic initiatives and short-term tactical goals.Proven ability to manage a large portfolio of projects while ensuring the alignment of resources with business priorities.Strong understanding of business operations, finance, and resource management.Ability to balance technological needs with business objectives, ensuring that IT investments support overall company goals.Ability to drive measurable outcomes and manage performance through KPIs and metrics.
