We are currently in search of a Vice President of Business Intelligence to join our Information Technology team! The Vice President of Business Intelligence plays a crucial role in the organization by overseeing all aspects of the business intelligence function at Feed the Children. Key responsibilities include; Strategic Planning: Develops and implements strategic plans and goals for the business intelligence department to ensure alignment with the organization’s digital strategies. Leadership: Provides leadership and oversight to ensure the maintenance and optimization of BI processes. Collaboration: Works with other departments to identify and generate potential business intelligence initiatives. Technology and Trends: Stays current on emerging technologies and trends within the business intelligence industry. Culture: Fosters a culture throughout the organization that emphasizes data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. Empowers the organization to leverage our data assets to gain valuable insights, identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive innovation. This position will report directly to the Chief Information Officer.
NOTE: This position will be working hybrid from our corporate office in Oklahoma City, OK.
Job Requirements:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, data science, or related field required. An MBA or a specialized field like data analytics a plus.
Experience
12+ years of relevant work experience including managing diverse teams, programmers, developers and complex information technology projects required
10+ years’ experience in development, troubleshooting, and building relational and multi-dimensional data models and the use of standard data modeling tools. Demonstrated experience working with facts, dimensions, measures, and KPI’s required.
7+ years’ experience in a data warehouse environment, hands-on data warehousing project experience and experience in full cycle Business Intelligence development, visualization, implementation, tuning and support.
5+ years’ experience related to establishing and/or defining enterprise information system architectures.
Knowledgeable of MS Modern Workplace tools in the Fabric ecosystem including PowerBI, Power Automate, Data Factory, OneLake and design experience building ETL workloads required
Management experience in .NET application development, Visual Studio, development lifecycles and testing, artifact and code repositories, and compliance and assurance of best practices.
Proven hands-on experience in leading organization-wide analytical projects and solving complex business problems.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with proven ability to communicate complex technical information in a way that is easily understood by stakeholders and decision-makers.
Data Analysis: Proficiency in data modeling, data warehousing, and data mining.
BI tools: Expertise in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, and SAP BusinessObjects.
Programming: Knowledge of SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Problem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying issues and developing data-driven solutions.

Essential Functions:
Facilitate strong support from leadership and develop internal champions regarding the importance of data and set the tone for a data-driven culture.
Develop and implement data-driven strategies to support organizational decision-making stressing a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration. Drive collective decision-making and innovation that produces desired business outcomes.
Design strategies and identify resources that provide ongoing education and resources to enhance data literacy.
Regularly evaluate and iterate BI processes and tools, gathering feedback from users to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Organize, lead and manage a Business Intelligence & Corporate Analytics team/committee structure.
Ensure that BI analysts have the necessary tools, training, and understanding to produce effective reports and dashboards.
Identify opportunities to better improve results and services through enhanced corporate data repositories and reporting.
Based on data governance and security standards, identify areas where data may be used to benchmark business results, foster growth, and enhance impact reporting.
Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in business intelligence and data analytics.
Oversee the development and implementation of BI tools and systems in coordination with Information Technology Operations, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Carries out supervisory responsibility in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws including training in job skills; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Model the type and level of behavior, professionalism and leadership that is in accordance with the values of the organization.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, and maintain accountability standards.
Performs other related duties as required.
