We are seeking a **Vice President of Fleet and Asset Management** to join our team. The Vice President of Fleet and Asset Management will oversee all aspects of the organization’s fleet operations and asset management across its nationwide footprint. This role is critical to optimizing the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of our fleet and physical assets, ensuring alignment with operational and financial goals. The VP will develop strategies that integrate technology, procurement, and maintenance solutions to maximize fleet performance and asset utilization while minimizing costs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of fleet management, asset life cycle, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-growth telecommunications environment. **The Role** + Develop and execute a comprehensive fleet and asset management strategy aligned with the organization’s goals. + Collaborate with executive leadership on growth strategies, cost control, and operational improvements related to fleet management. + Oversee the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of all fleet vehicles and equipment, ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability. + Lead initiatives to extend the life cycle of key assets, implementing processes to track usage, maintenance, and disposal in the most cost-effective and sustainable manner. + Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, service providers, and other relevant partners. + Implement and manage fleet tracking, maintenance scheduling, and telematics systems to optimize performance. + Develop and manage budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics for fleet and asset management. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase return on investment (ROI) through strategic asset allocation, procurement, and process improvements. + Identify cost-saving opportunities related to fuel efficiency, vehicle maintenance, and vendor agreements. + Analyze fleet performance and financial impact, providing accurate forecasts and reports. + Drive initiatives to enhance fleet safety, including training programs, risk assessments, and vehicle inspections. + Partner with Safety to develop policies and procedures related to driver safety, vehicle usage, and accident management. + Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal and regulatory requirements, including DOT, OSHA, and environmental standards. + Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts for vehicles, equipment, fuel, and maintenance services. + Remain informed on trends in fleet management technology, green energy solutions, and regulatory changes. + Lead and develop fleet operations team, driving performance and efficiency. Requirements + 10+ years of leadership experience in fleet management, asset management, or operations in a large, multi-site organization, preferably in the telecommunications or a similar industry. + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field a plus + Certification in Fleet Management or Transportation (e.g., NAFA, CAFM) is a plus. + Proven experience in managing large fleets (over 500 vehicles), including heavy equipment and/or commercial vehicles. + Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and influence direct and indirect teams. + Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. + Financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. + Knowledge of fleet management technologies, including GPS tracking, telematics, and maintenance systems. + Familiarity with environmental sustainability and regulatory requirements for fleet operations. + Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships. + Travel +/- 50% annually, depending on office location + Valid driver’s license + Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen) Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Employer _All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran._
