Lessen recently acquired SMS Assist, an industry-leading facilities maintenance technology and delivery company. The new combined national footprint will serve more than 250,000 properties, facilitate approximately 2.5 million repair and maintenance orders, and complete nearly 20,000 renovation and turn projects per year. Lessen has quickly evolved from exciting startup to valued partner, delivering scalable and turnkey property services to our clients.
The Vice President of Human Resources leads the Human Resources function and reports into the General Counsel. This role is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent management, company culture and engagement, organizational and performance management, training and development, compensation, and succession planning. The VP provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team.What You'll Do:Develop the Human Resources strategy to support the overall company business planServe as an HR Strategic Business Partner to management and staff on employee relations issues, interpretation of company policies, procedures and guidelinesAssist C-suite in designing and implementing an effective and efficient organizational structure to meet current and future business needsResponsible for the continuous improvement of HR programs, policies, practices, and processesLead the Human Resources function, including employee relations/engagement, performance management, career development, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, and HRISProvide direction, technical advice and knowledge to HR team and total company on HR related matters. Develop, deploy and evaluate HR goals and KPIsImprove the efficiency and effectiveness of the HR team Develop progressive and proactive total rewards programs to provide motivation, incentives, and rewards to drive superior performance Oversee the total Lessen Benefits program. This includes understanding and identifying benefits trends, suggesting and advising on improvements and changes to benefits program, administration of benefits to employees, and government required reporting.Act as the cultural leader through the driving of our cultural program and events. Coach and train leaders on the Lessen culture and how to build an engaging, people-centric culture within their teams. Recommend, develop and implement programs to sustain positive employee morale and increase employee retentionProvide guidance to managers on discipline issues, terminations, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plansPropose, develop, and implement human resource policies and practices that ensure compliance with EEOC, federal, state, and local employment laws by staying informed about pending and current legislation, and communicating with and coaching team members on the correct application of policies.Identify employee relations patterns, report findings and trends, and develop training and materials to address areas for improvement.Oversee HR/Talent risk management issues, conduct high-level investigations of workplace policy violations, and monitor AAP / EEO and other regulatory compliance.
Compensation:$180K - $200KPay is determined by several compensable factors, such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.You Should Have:BA/BS degree in Human Resources Management or related field10+ years' prior experience in Human Resources with 5+ years of HR leadership experienceDemonstrated knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines (employee relations, performance, compensation, training, benefits, talent acquisition, etc.)Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Human Resources and general business practicesPHR or SPHR certification preferredExperience in fast-paced, high-growth company preferredStrong leadership and coaching skillsGreat at influencing through strong relationships, expertise and dataGreat communication skills; understand how to communicate large, complex changeStrong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
