Vice President of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
Overview We are seeking an experienced VP of HR Information Systems to oversee our organization's human capital management system. Reporting to the CHRIS, this role combines technical expertise in UKG, Work Force Management and other HRIS systems, with knowledge of the hospitality and ski resort industry's workforce management needs. The ideal candidate will manage our HR systems while ensuring our technology infrastructure effectively supports our year-round and seasonal workforce and scheduling requirements. This position will guide, consult, project manage, and implement new technologies and enhancements to create optimization and data analytics aligned with company goals. Responsibilities Leadership & Operations - Develop, manage and implement HRIS strategy aligned with organizational goals focused LEADS and team member engagement - Oversee, and administers the human capital management systems and advances our technology platforms - Collaborates with payroll, information technology and business leaders to ensure we are meeting business requirements and compliance with state and federal laws - Direct system upgrades and improvements across HR functions including applicant tracking system, onboarding, payroll, benefits, analytics and reporting, and data governance - Driver of change management process, including overseeing training and internal communication, with a focus on high-user adoption and utilization of systems with managers and team members - Drive and own relationship with key vendors - Project manages and scales implementations to meet deadlines and provides reporting insights on progress to senior leadership Technical Operations & Systems Management - Oversee the maintenance and optimization of UKG platform and workforce management tools - Manage, maintain, and develop integrations between HRIS systems and other business applications - Supports payroll system enhancements and benefit administration - Ensure system security and data privacy compliance - Maintain disaster recovery procedures for HR systems Data Analytics & Reporting - Oversee workforce analytics and reporting operations - Manage development of HR dashboards and regular reporting to state & federal entities - Creates meaningful reports for leadership to - Provide insights through analysis of workforce trends, particularly during peak seasons - Direct regular reporting on workforce planning and optimization Team Leadership - Direct training programs for HR technology users and managers - Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure system optimization - Oversee external vendor and consultant relationships for HR technology platforms - Drives change management strategies to increase user adoption Qualifications Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, HR Management, or related field - 7+ years of experience in HRIS management - 3+ years of experience in the hospitality industry, with ski resort operations experience preferred - Proven experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) solutions and workforce management platforms - Strong background in HR data analytics and reporting - Experience managing seasonal workforce scheduling and planning Preferred Qualifications - HRIP (HR Information Professional) or similar certification - Experience working in multi-resort culture leading HRIS initiatives - Knowledge of hospitality industry labor laws and regulations - Experience with business intelligence tools - Project management certification Technical Skills - Strong knowledge of UKG platform and modules - Experience with workforce management systems - Proficiency in HR analytics and reporting - Understanding of system integrations including APIs - Knowledge of data security requirements Leadership Skills - Operational planning - Project management - Vendor management - Clear communication - Problem-solving ability - Team management Working Conditions - Based at primary resort location - Flexible schedule during peak seasons - Remote work options available - Travel 20-30% of the time
