Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Vice President of Operations to lead this multifaceted global corporate account. This role demands an experienced, entrepreneurial leader with significant experience in exceeding client expectations within the Food Service/Hospitality industry. Based in New York City, the VPO will establish and direct standards for food, beverage, and conference services; while working effectively both interdepartmentally and with other Compass Group sectors. Our VP of Operations works closely with the RVP, site leaders, and senior client partners to resolve & implement strategy, priorities, and direction for operations across all account locations. The ideal candidate is comfortable with change, taking measured risk, influencing decision-making, as well as operational execution and running multiple P&L'S. Key Responsibilities: + Dedicated to results for all areas of responsibilities. Including but not limited to: Client Retention and Satisfaction, Financial Performance and Requirements, Regulatory Compliance, Purchasing Requirements, Culinary Programs and Standards, Human Resources Management, Retail and Marketing Programs + Guides the business to achieve high performance based on company performance metrics, comfortable participating in meetings to continue crafting and developing the program + Ensures accurate management of resources, sales, finance, human resources, and customer service with full P&L accountability. + Successfully builds relationships at all levels of the client organization + Identifies client's needs and makes recommendations accordingly + Communicates account progress and new Company programs to client + Conducts and/or supervises customer, client and associate satisfaction surveys + Delivers the corporate communications and priorities to both the account team members and clients + Communicates effectively interdepartmentally and with sector partnership leaders + Develops and monitors realistic and accurate budget and forecasts. + Ensures the account is meeting financial performance and client forecasts + Ensures that Operations Team members are performing their responsibilities effectively Financial & Performance Management: + Drive operational profitability and cost controls, ensuring clients financial targets are met while maintaining service excellence + Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking for all workplace service operations + Develop and monitor KPIs for NorAm operational success, implementing data-driven decision-making to improve performance, ability to build client presentations and lead monthly business reviews Strategic Leadership & Growth: + Develop and implement operational strategies to standardize and enhance conference services, reception, F&B, vending, and catering + Drive business expansion initiatives, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation within existing and new markets Preferred Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience + 10-15 years upscale food service experience, including 10 years at the management level and at least 5 years of multi-unit management + Experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation and succession planning + Able to adjust and handle multiple priorities, with an eye always on big picture and strategic goals + Makes business decisions based on financial reports and relevant business intelligence + Must be knowledgeable on HACCP controls along with proper storage and use of food + Strong business sense - ability to navigate and effectively use external and proprietary software + ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus + Able to read and interpret business records and statistical reports Apply to Eurest today!
