healthcare system including all facilities staff patients and visitors The Vice President will develop implement and oversee strategies policies and programs to ensure a safe and secure environment aligning with the healthcare systems mission and regulatory requirementsKey AccountabilitiesDevelop and lead the overall safety and security strategy for the healthcare system providing the strategic direction and oversight for all security operations including physical security emergency preparedness and crisis managementLead a team of Safety and Security professionals across the healthcare system ensuring appropriate levels of skills and service are in place teach coach and mentor to continually develop the teamCollaborate with executive leadership to integrate safety and security into the organizations strategic planningConduct risk assessments and develop protocols to mitigate potential threats to executivesIdentify and assess security risks and vulnerabilities within the healthcare system developing and implementing risk mitigation strategiesMonitor and analyze security trends and incidents to inform policy and procedure updatesOversee the daily operations of the security department including staffing budgeting and resource allocation Implement and maintain security technologies and systemsEnsure compliance with all relevant laws regulations and accreditation standardsResponsible for the development and maintenance of comprehensive emergency preparedness plansLead the response to security incidents and emergencies ensuring effective communication and technologies and systemsAbility to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesDemonstrated ability to provide leadership grow engagement manage multiple and diverse relationships and influence both internal and external organizations leaders and colleaguesAbility to partner with leaders to identify opportunity areas lead improvement projects and ensure the implementation of standard work is completed across the organizationAble to prioritize work by making informed judgments and to develop solutions for complex problemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to prepare and present material documents and instill confidence in the content that is being provided to Executive Leaders other leaders and colleaguesIndependently analyze
