Position Overview
GO Riteway is seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President of Sales and Marketing to lead the company’s commercial services growth initiatives within existing and new markets. This executive role will focus on high-level customer relationships, strategic planning, business development, financial oversight, and service excellence. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic hands-on leader with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, enhancing market presence, and managing cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive revenue and profitability.Ensure a culture of best-in-class service within our sales teams and the company as a whole.Provide strategic guidance for market and customer opportunities, ensuring the service mix aligns with market demands. Develop and lead sales team with a strong sales operations perspective, including pricing, market positioning, and customer service initiatives.Evaluate RFPs and execute bid responses and contract negotiations to secure large opportunities and build lasting partnerships.Financial and Sales Operations Management
Develop and meet annual Commercial Services sales budget.Oversee major customer contracts from inception through renewals.Manage budgets, projections, and financial reporting to track and optimize performance.Deliver updates to the executive team on revenue, expenses, and overall financial health.Oversee capacity management to ensure operational alignment with sales and marketing strategies.Business Development and Relationship Building
Identify, pursue and close new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.Build and strengthen customer relationships, ensuring long-term satisfaction, retentionand growth.Oversee acquisition integrations to maintain consistency and quality in service delivery. Develop relationships within key community organizations.
Marketing Strategy and Execution
Develop marketing strategies and tactics that enhance brand visibility and support sales objectives.Execute tactical initiatives, including website optimization, email campaigns, social media, presentations, and community outreach.Analyze marketing metrics to evaluate performance and continuously improve efforts.Sales Team Management
Uphold GO Riteway’s servant-leadership management culture.Provide sales training and share expertise to build selling skills for staff. Develop Key Performance Indicators to drive accountability with sales staff.Assign specific customers to sales staff. Provide guidance on customer consultations, strategy, pricing, etc.Ensure quotes and proposals are timely and accurate.Have biweekly sales meetings for review of sales metrics, trends and opportunities.Large Moves and Event Management
Lead consultation, needs analysis, and proposals for large opportunities to ensure successful execution.Oversee planning and execution of large events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.Technology and Vendor Oversight
Manage reservation and marketing software, including vendor relationships, configurations, pricing, and reporting.Provide training and support to teams on the effective use of technology tools.Ensure best practices in technology usage and data-driven decision-making.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Operations, Accounting, IT, and HR to align sales and marketing with organizational goals.Oversee new service launches to ensure success.Promote best practices across departments to drive efficiency and collaboration.Serve as a key leader in organizational strategy and cultural development.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.10+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales and marketing, preferably in transportation, logistics, or a service-oriented industry.Proven success in strategic planning, sales operations, and business development.Expertise in contract negotiations, RFP responses, and managing large-scale opportunities.Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.Proficiency in CRM software, digital marketing platforms, and data analysis tools.Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Why Join GO Riteway?
