VICE PRESIDENT & SECRETARY OF THE BOARD, Office of the President

The Vice President and Secretary will be a member of the university leadership team, providing strategic guidance and support to the President and Board of Trustees on matters related to the Boards composition, structure, role, and function. This position oversees the staff who comprise the Office of the Trustees and helps shape the university's strategic direction by facilitating communication between the Board and administration and ensuring governance best practices.
Responsibilities include managing all aspects of Board activities supported by the Office of Trustees such as strategic planning, meeting preparation, staffing, and maintaining records. Additionally, as a member of the university leadership team, the Vice President and Secretary manages projects and represents the President as needed. The position reports administratively to the President and functionally to both the Chair of the Board of Trustees and the President.

Education:
+ Advanced degree in higher education administration, business administration, law, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
+ Extensive experience in strategic planning, governance, regulatory compliance, legal frameworks, and executive-level support in a complex organizational environment, preferably within higher education or a similar non-profit setting.

+ Proficiency at managing Board-related projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and efficient execution from planning to follow-up.
