Video Design - Engineer

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Attend customer meetings and conduct site surveysAbility to translate customer requirements into functional system designs.Understand architectural/construction drawings and documentationDesign and engineer complex audio/video/VTC systemsProvide floor plans and elevationsCreate engineering, programming and installation labor estimatesWill not have supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance for integration and/or installation teamsAudio/Video systems configuration and testing

Hours of coverage:

Individual shift may vary, but you will be a member of a team that provides coverage from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.   

Security Clearance Requirements:

Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Basic Qualifications:

Ability to communicate and interact professionally with colleagues, project stakeholders and the clientUnderstanding industry best practices in audio, video and control systems design/integration for conference rooms, operation center watch floors, training rooms, and VIP officesAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to assess customer needs, meet quality standards for services, and evaluate customer satisfactionDemonstrated problem solving skills.Must demonstrate ability to thrive and succeed in a challenging environment.Must have excellent oral and written communication skillsAble to interact with individuals from all levels of the organizationBasic understanding of IP technologiesExceptional customer service skillsProficiency in the use of MS Office suite to include Visio and Power PointBA/BS and 7 years of experiences, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 11+ years.Experience with:A/V switching systemsCommercial Audio (understanding of audio theory, signal flow and gain staging)  DSP technology (including DANTE)Formal education in Electronics or related field preferredAVIXA CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices.Must be able to position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50 pounds or more, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts
