Location: Houston, Texas (will be onsite 2-3x per week)Job Type: ContractCompensation Range: $50 - 55 per hourWe are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our client's Digital Media team. In this role, you'll ensure that video and motion deliverables meet the highest quality standards, collaborating closely with clients and teammates. Attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage deadlines and requirements efficiently are key to success in this position.This will be a hybrid ongoing W2 opportunity.Responsibilities: Collaborate with clients and producers to edit raw video footage, focusing on finishing touches, color correction, and sound design. Work with the Producer, Creative Director, and Art Director to actualize the overall vision for the production, ensuring the final delivery aligns with the creative vision. Manage all production files during post-production and maintain an organized file structure. Asset management and serving as content archivist. Perform color grading to enhance the visual appeal of videos. Design and mix sound to ensure high-quality audio. Estimate time and budget requirements to ensure projects stay on target. Troubleshoot software and upgrades as needed. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Provide the highest level of service to clients in a proactive, creative, and professional manner. Ensure quality control of all aspects of video finishing, color correction, and sound design. Qualifications: 5+ years with editing and post-production workflows. Oil & Gas, Energy, or STEM background is a plus. Expertise in all phases of video editing. Significant experience with color and sound, with an added bonus if candidates have experience compositing in After Effects / Resolve. Proven ability to handle and organize communication via Teams, Workfront (or related PM software), and email - while attending virtual and/or in-person meetings, as necessary. Work is to be performed onsite in our editing suites (or via remote login as necessary) during core business hours. Skills: Strategic thinking applied to business challenges and opportunities. Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and ideally Logic/Pro Tools. Ability to composite is not a requirement but is a significant plus. Project management software experience to assist with project status tracking and updates. Ability to manage a high volume of tasks with a strong sense of urgency. Commitment to adhering to all company policies and procedures. Technical knowledge and collaborative problem-solving skills to translate abstract concepts into effective deliverables. Organized and detail-oriented with quality control practices. Effective collaboration and interaction with team peers, clients, interdepartmental colleagues, and high-level executives.
