4 Year Degree Under the guidance and supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Video, the Video Production Coordinator is integral to the Wofford Athletics department. This role encompasses comprehensive oversight of video production, social media content creation and broadcasting for Division I athletic events. Key responsibilities include managing production staffing for broadcasts, coordinating live event coverage, actively recruiting students to join the production team while providing hands-on training in broadcasting skills, producing and editing engaging social media content to enhance the college's athletic presence and fan engagement, and ensuring the highest quality production standards across all initiatives.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Live Event Broadcasting: Oversee the planning and execution of live broadcasts for all athletic events on ESPN+ and local television stations, ensuring high-quality production and viewer engagement. Social Media Management: Develop and implement strategies for creating engaging video content for social media platforms, including highlight reels, athlete interviews, and promotional videos. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the video services team, promoting collaboration and innovation in video production techniques. Content Creation: Collaborate with the athletic department to produce compelling video content that showcases athletes, events, and the Wofford College community. Equipment Oversight: Manage and maintain video production equipment, ensuring all gear is functional and up to date for broadcasts and recordings. Quality Assurance: Ensure all video content adheres to NCAA and ESPN standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism and quality. Scheduling Management: Managing the scheduling of our professional freelancers and student broadcast team members, we ensure smooth operations and high-quality productions that meet our audience’s expectations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in video production and content creation, preferably in a sports or collegiate environment. Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Davinci Resolve) and graphic design software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Photoshop). Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) and best practices for video content. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of NCAA and ESPN regulations and guidelines. A passion for college athletics and a strong commitment to promoting student-athlete success. Positive and creative manner of approaching issues; strong analytical skills and professional judgement Willing to travel and work weekends, as needed
