Job Title: Video Production Manager Location: Metro DC area Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance Job Description Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Video Production Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the regular production of high-quality video content for museum exhibits, online platforms, and special events. This role requires a proactive individual who excels in relationship-building, video production, and media coordination. Key Responsibilities: + Video Production: Ensure the regular creation and delivery of engaging video content for use in the museum, exhibits, online, and at events. + Relationship Management: Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal museum staff and external partners, including media organizations and video crews. + Interview Preparation: Prep interview subjects for on-camera appearances and conduct interviews with a wide variety of experts and high-profile individuals. + Collaboration: Work closely with museum staff to brainstorm and refine video concepts and collaborate on the initial and final cuts of video products. + Performance Monitoring: Track the performance of video products, making necessary adjustments to style and content based on viewer feedback and analytics. + Leadership Coordination: Collaborate with museum leadership to plan and execute on-camera appearances and media-related activities. + Media Coordination: Coordinate with media organizations and video crews covering the museum, ensuring seamless integration of external media efforts. + Event Coverage: Prep and accompany museum leadership in media-related meetings and interviews, including high-profile events. + Deadline Management: Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to secure interviews and produce content on tight deadlines. Qualifications: + Education: Bachelor’s degree in government, Communications, English, Film, International Affairs, Journalism, or a related field. + Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in video production, journalism, or public affairs, with a proven track record of producing videos for wide public distribution. + Skills: + Proven experience in media outreach and relationship management. + Ability to prep and interview a wide variety of experts and high-profile individuals. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. + Demonstrated experience working on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
