About the role:
One of EF's affiliated exchange organizations, Cultural Care Au Pair, is seeking a versatile Video Shooter & Editor to join our in-house creative team. This role requires a unique blend of creative skills, including videography, photography, editing, and motion production, to create visually compelling content for a global audience. You will oversee all aspects of video production, from concept development to final delivery, while also contributing to still photography projects. This is a hands-on role that combines creativity with technical expertise to deliver high-quality content that aligns with our brand and marketing objectives. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate closely with marketing and creative colleagues, mentor junior team members, and ensure all visual content meets the highest standards of quality and storytelling. As part of our truly global team, you’ll work from our Boston office, with regular collaboration with our team in Zurich, Switzerland.
What you'll do:Manage planning, shooting, and production of video content across platforms, ensuring a consistent and engaging visual style. Act as an editor of Cultural Care’s paid media, primarily short-form videos that leverage user-generated content and social media trends to drive interest in the Au Pair programs and value props Manage all aspects of the video editing process, including animation and postproduction tasks such as video editing, color grading, sound design, and final delivery. Capture still photography for video projects or standalone assignments, ensuring visual quality and brand consistency. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members Review both owned and Ambassador-submitted footage and proactively pitch new video ideas and combine user-generated content with owned raw footage (and stock) Provide direction to Cultural Care Brand Ambassadors, influencers, and staff on best practices for filming usable, social-driven content Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring completion on schedule and within budget. Ensure all visual content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a high standard of quality. Stay up-to-date with trends in video production, photography, and editing to bring innovative ideas to the team. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, Digital Media, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in videography, preferably within an agency or in-house studio team. A strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of videography and photography work, showcasing expertise in visual storytelling, editing, and art direction. Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Davinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects) and photo editing tools (e.g., Photoshop, Lightroom). Deep understanding of lighting, composition, and storytelling techniques for both video and photography. Experience planning and producing video and photo shoots, including pre-production and on-set coordination. Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience mentoring or managing junior team members. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail and a creative eye for visual storytelling. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Requirements: Fluency in English (written and spoken), with other languages considered a plus.
