Video Specialist Intern
Responsibilities

The Video Specialist is an intrinsic storyteller, collaborative team member, stickler for details, creative thinker, and executor in the world of video. This individual is responsible for developing and editing videos and animations that connect internal and external audiences to the heart of the Atria family of brands. This individual has a passion for setting up the best shot, creating animations that bring ideas to life and editing content to tell compelling and relevant stories.

Film, create motion graphics/animations and edit videos. Collaborate with the marketing/creative team to brainstorm, create and deploy fresh and relevant video content that builds the Atria brands. Provide expert input for setting up shots, lighting scenes, developing effective motion graphics/animations, and editing. Work closely with the marketing/creative team to ensure a successful pre-production, production, and post-production of video projects. Support the production scheduling, location preparation, equipment resourcing, and talent management of video shoots. Work with on screen talent to help provide direction, put them at ease, and derive quality content. Responsible for event video production. Partner with the marketing and functional teams to determine video project scopes. Assist in the estimation of third-party production costs and hiring. Maintain internal production equipment. Ensure strict adherence to and organization of our asset management system (including video clips, project files, and other assets) in compliance with Company system standards. Troubleshoot video issues as needed. May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned. Qualifications Currently enrolled in a four-year university or college with a focus on Film, Video Production, or other related field is preferred. Or one (1) or more years of video experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. If currently enrolled in school, must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA (4.0 scale). Proficient in basic Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Experience demonstrating teamwork and critical thinking skills to accomplish tasks. Must have basic knowledge of how to operate a video camera, including how to frame each shot, and how to utilize the proper film, filters, lighting, etc. Experience with motion graphics, title design, and video editing software (Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Creative Suite, etc.) Familiarity with production techniques for mobile media (iPhone, iPad, Android). Understanding of video file formats, technical specs, and uploading best practices. Ability to follow company guidelines for filming and editing in a deadline-oriented environment.
