THE JOB:
Step into the world of Blue Man Group at Luxor as a Video Technician and be part of the magic behind the scenes! As a vital member of our dynamic team, you’ll ensure every performance is visually spectacular, working with cutting-edge technology and collaborating with talented teams across multiple departments. From live shows to rehearsals and maintenance, you’ll play a key role in bringing the Blue Man Group experience to life, exceeding guest expectations and creating unforgettable moments. THE STARTING RATE: $38.55 an hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Projection Operations & Cue Management: Operate and troubleshoot projection equipment for performances, training, and maintenance, ensuring seamless cue track execution and updating documentation as needed.
Media Server & System Maintenance: Manage and troubleshoot Christie Pandoras Box software, and maintain projection systems, including projectors, cameras, and network equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
Show Quality & Artistic Integrity: Perform routine maintenance and adjustments to preserve the “opening night” quality and the visual integrity of the production, meeting designer specifications.
Rehearsal & Performance Support: Collaborate with artistic, technical, and stage management teams during rehearsals and performances, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any technical needs.
Special Projects & Installation: Assist with the installation and testing of new projection elements, contributing to special projects and system upgrades.
Documentation & Safety Coordination: Maintain accurate technical documentation (configurations, updates, maintenance) and work with other departments to ensure a safe, effective working environment.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
Education: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Flexible Availability: Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Certifications: OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain.
Technical Experience: Proven experience in video technology, including familiarity with multiple software platforms such as Christie Pandoras Box, Blackmagic Switcher, and PTZ Cameras.
