VIDEOGRAPHER (AIR-2025-22246)

 

Bowhead seeks a Videographer to serve as editor, photographer, and videographer for a variety of public affairs products. Those products include internal and external communication videos, photographs, and video news releases, podcasts as well as videos and photographs of ceremonies, conferences, symposia, community activities and other events. 

Responsibilities

 

Must understand how to visually tell a story using photojournalism techniques.Research, prepare, and disseminate information through various digital media outlets.Demonstrates proficiency in operating digital video, DSLR, 4K, HD and still camera equipmentDigitally edit scripted and non-scripted products: news features, music videos, podcasts, instructional, promotional, and informational videosMust be able to produce motion graphics for video, color correction, audio enhancement and have strong knowledge of location lighting, green screen lighting and audio sound design.Schedule and conduct on-camera interviews for story development and production.Pre-load, set-up and operate computerized field teleprompter on location and in studioSet-up, engineer studio/location podcasts using multiple microphones, audio mixer, or virtually using Zoom or Teams, edit with appropriate audio applicationsCreate video closed caption files using CC applicationsEncode various file formats, MP.4, .mov, AVI, .WMV using encoding software applicationsAdvise leadership on video/photo equipment requirements and emerging media practices.Secondary tasking may include graphic design and photography. Qualifications AA or AS degree in Mass Communication, Video/Film Production, or related audiovisual field.Allowable Substitution: Formal technical training in audiovisual communication and three (3) years of experience.Minimum (1-2) years of experience using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After-Effects, Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion, PC and Mac operating systems, photojournalism techniques, cinematography, digital video file conversion, motion graphics, infographics, and still photography.Knowledge of broadcast journalist techniques is required to conduct media training for senior leadership.Strong project management skills are necessary with ability to take visual projects from concept to completion.Applicants will be asked to provide links to videos produced.

Physical Demands:  Office Environment - - The environmental conditions consist of computer stations and desks with adequate and adjustable lighting.  Chairs are designed to fit the various individuals and the tasks being performed. Ergonomic evaluations are completed as needed, to provide up to date modifications to all work stations.

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
