OPENLANE is seeking a talented Videography and Motion Graphics intern for a summer 2025 intern.
Candidates will be required to work in our Carmel, IN HQ office from Tuesday - Thursday, with the option to work remotely Monday and Friday.
Every day brings a new creative challenge and an opportunity to collaborate with both business leaders and a dynamic team of creatives, including designers, developers, and marketing strategists. As a Videography and Motion Graphics Intern, you’ll help bring the OPENLANE brand to life through compelling video content and motion graphics.
What you’ll do at OPENLANE:
Create engaging video and motion graphic content: Support OPENLANE’s businesses and customers by producing high-quality video and animation projects, including brand videos, social media assets, presentations, animated advertisements, product how-to videos, and other multimedia deliverables. Projects may involve video editing, color correction, sound design, and visual effects using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and more.
Collaborate on storytelling: Work closely with the creative team to brainstorm and storyboard compelling narratives that effectively communicate business objectives while maintaining brand consistency.
Capture and produce video content: Assist in on-site or remote video shoots, including setting up equipment (lighting, cameras, audio), recording footage, and organizing raw assets for editing.
Maintain and organize video asset libraries: Ensure all video and motion graphic assets are stored, labeled, and organized properly for easy access and sharing.
Research trends and techniques: Stay up-to-date on the latest videography, animation, and motion design trends to bring fresh ideas and creative solutions to the team.
Contribute as part of a creative team: Be an active participant in brainstorming sessions, open to feedback, and committed to continuous learning and improvement in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The skills you need:
Preferred rising Junior or Senior in a video, telecommunications, mass communication, or similar bachelor’s program.
Able to work with video editing software including Adobe Premiere, Adobe after Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Experience with other tools like Canva or Figma is a plus.
Creative portfolio or demo reel showcasing strong videography, motion design, and video editing skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong storytelling abilities: Proven ability to think creatively about visuals, transitions, and pacing in video projects.
Effective communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across the company.
A proactive individual who is excited to learn and build experience as a part of a dynamic creative team.
Proactive and eager to learn: A motivated self-starter who’s excited to build skills in videography and motion design as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
This is a summer internship with a start date ranging from May to September.
