As our RDGM Compliance Director you will be responsible for supporting and managing the compliance and risk management framework for ViiV Research & Development and Global Medical (RDGM). The post holder will work with senior business leaders in the relevant business functions to build trust through influencing the right behaviours, driving the right accountability and fostering the right leadership. Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following main areas: Member of the ViiV Healthcare Compliance Leadership Team Influence business strategies and activities using strategic thinking and knowledge of the ViiV business, our competitors, the industry and regulators. Drive accountability towards greater business transparency, compliance, values-based decision making and a robust governance framework which reinforces trust in ViiV from customers, business partners and patients. Partner with the relevant business functions to implement fit for purpose programmes, processes, and systems to ensure effective governance of compliance and risk management. Proactively encourage business leaders, peers, and direct reports to evaluate risk, generate solutions and ensure issues are escalated appropriately Ensure ViiV deploys corporate policies and procedures in a consistent and timely fashion and utilising the Internal Control Framework as appropriate. Lead Compliance support to ViiV Research & Development and Global Medical (RDGM). Facilitating the Risk Management and Compliance Board (RMCB) for RDGM. Proactively encouraging the RMCB to define the Risk Management and Compliance strategy, ensuring proper escalation of issues and risks and appropriate oversight on execution of mitigation plans and compliance strategy. As a key member of risk and governance forums (e.g. RMCB, Medical Governance Executive Committee) encourage discussion of relevant, significant risks and ensure that issues and conclusions are escalated upward. Maintaining and informing leadership of the ViiV RDGM Key Risk Indicators by coordinating compliance data analysis, and reporting activities, to manage compliance program data trending and tracking, as well as enhanced performance reporting. Promote leadership behaviours and a Speak Up culture aligned to ViiV Values, supporting investigations as appropriate. Driving appropriate oversight and business follow-up over effective creation and timely closure of CAPAs resulting from investigations, monitoring, audits or inspections, mandatory training and other compliance metrics and deliverables. Partner Core Deliverables and Outputs Accountable for ensuring the ViiV RDGM compliance program is effective and fully implemented. Ensuring that GSK/ViiV’s compliance culture is embedded at all levels of the organisation Accountable for ensuring employees understand compliance requirements and use good judgment in activities and for ensuring appropriate monitoring and auditing to verify. Establishes and maintains credibility and trust throughout the organisation and is able and willing to consistently advocate disciplinary actions for compliance and ethics violations. Why You! Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree- Life Sciences, Business, Law, Finance, or equivalent experience Knowledge & management experience with compliance programs and processes Knowledge and experience of data, digital and analytics Strong understanding of the use of data analytics in risk management Strategic, analytical, and proactive, with a strong external goal-oriented focus. Ability to provide strategic advice identifying risks and gaps within the business organisation and to deep dive into operational issues as required, moving quickly and effectively between the two levels of working. Creative problem solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects; experience leading teams through good project management. Skills: Demonstrated pro-activity, initiative, and good judgment. High learning agility. Able to apply problem-solving approaches / mindset to unfamiliar areas or challenges. Confident executive presence with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence individuals at all levels of the business. Attention to detail, ability to cope with pressure, deliver work of the highest quality to demanding deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree preferred, Post-graduate Degree / Qualification - Life Sciences, Business, Law, Finance Knowledgeable of applicable government laws and regulations relating to the company. Demonstrated risk management, process improvement, and/or project management skills. Exhibit strong analytical skills and an understanding of operational processes and technology concepts. Specialised Knowledge Relevant experience in Compliance, Audit, Legal or Internal Controls role. Strong capability in cross-functional work and business partnering, matrix and stakeholder management with proven track record. Proven track record in driving continuous improvement including processes. Strong strategic thinker combined with excellence in tactical implementation. Ability to demonstrate enterprise (big picture, global) leadership thinking. Dynamic communicator who embraces and adopts new approaches and trends. Strong writing skills required to write and edit policies and procedures, issue memoranda and compile program reports. Ability to manage sensitive confidential issues with complete discretion.
