SUMMARY
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a VIP Experience Host with ASM Global/Boeing Center at Tech Port . The VIP Experience Hosts will provide premium professional client services, hospitality, and support in the organization and management of events within the facility, while interacting with Premium clients, facility staff and related personnel to assure all event needs are fulfilled. They will also be responsible for all upgrades and all ancillary transactions at concerts and events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to adapt easily to the requirements and guidelines of the organization
Responsible handling of credit cards is vital
Possess pleasant personality with an enthusiastic and professional attitude
Ability to work flawlessly and effortlessly under stress and pressure
Experience in a customer service, sales, or fine dining role
Excellent communication and decision-making skills
Ability to work in areas with loud noises and crowds
Self-motivated and accountable, able to work independently and as part of a team
Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Welcome VIP members and guests and memorize their names
Provide excellent service to all members and Premium guests
Always be willing to help Premium members and guests with any questions or needs
Build and maintain constructive relationships and proactively anticipate guests' or members' needs
Pitch, sell and collect payment from guests for upgrades
Maintain appearance and dress according to established guidelines
Promote venue and membership program
All assigned data collection, marketing, and social media tasks must be completed per management's requests (i.e. line engagement social media contests)
Maintains the general cleanliness and orderliness of all Premium areas
Maintain table reservation and guest list minimums set by Management
Ensures guests are aware of events and supports the execution of them
Assists with side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management
Reports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management
Participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings
Contribute to VIP satisfaction and retention
Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members
Possess very strong interpersonal relationship and skills
Sales or hospitality experience will be added advantage
Possess excellent writing, verbal, and public speaking skills
Perfect time management skills to ensure services to Premium clients are never delayed
Deal with complaints made by members and guests in efficient manner
Ensure VIP clients enjoy themselves throughout their visit to Tech Port Center + Arena
Act as usher for VIP clients to and from their seats
Get adequately informed about facilities inside the Center
Liaise with the supervisor and provide detailed report about events and activities at the end of their shift
Provide clients with personal attention to ensure they have the best of the amenities and satisfactions the organization has to offer
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Hospitality experience
Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge preferred
Must be 21+ with reliable transportation
Bi-lingual candidates encouraged to apply
Previous host or sales experience are a major plus
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Minimum 21 years of age.
Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
Attention to detail and service oriented.
Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers.
Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions.
Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, guests, and others encountered in the course of employment.
Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
WORKING CONDITIONS
May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the workload and staffing
Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires moderate physical efforts. Standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling, pushing, and lifting of weight up to 50 pounds.
