The Opportunity:
·Responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications
·Responsible for the effective and efficient operation and interconnectivity of a Department of Defense Network and will execute the actions required to correct deficiencies or shortcomings and to improve system performance and efficiency
·Performing and overseeing the management of Windows system administrator functions supporting a global Active Directory (AD) infrastructure
·Provide senior level knowledge and Tier 3 support to the customer and their components to include Tier 3 infrastructure, design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support that builds, configures, and administers several hundred servers in their area of operation
·The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner
·Required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users
·Provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites as required , demonstrate a strong background in managing VI solutions (VmWare, CISCO)
·Follow technical guidance from fellow team members, leadership, and customers about maintaining, operating, and evolving VI environments and be able to independently action that guidance, maintain high service availability by liaising with many stakeholders to identify risk and threats to the delivery of VI services, rapidly identify and correct faults impacting service delivery and other duties as assigned
Responsibilities:
· Manage and monitor system resources to ensure optimal performance, including performing capacity planning and implementing best practices for system optimization
· Administer VMware/CISCO-based systems by handling tasks such as installation, configuration, patching, and security hardening, adhering to DISA STIG requirements for system security
· Support automation of system administration tasks using shell scripting or tools like Ansible, PowerShell
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing limited support for Windows and networking systems when necessary
Qualifications:
Required:
· Must Be US Citizen
· Candidate must possess an active DOD Secret level security clearance, and be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
· Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of directly relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
· 6+ years of hands-on VMWARE vSphere/ESXI experience in both engineering, operations and maintenance roles
· Strong knowledge of VMWARE concepts and best practices
· 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g. CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
· Maintain all HW and SW components at vendor supported levels
· Maintain expert knowledge of ESXi hosts, clusters, and vSAN/NAS/backup solutions
· Support mission-critical Continuity of Operations (COOP)
· Develop and/or participate in After Action Reports (AARs)
· Provide expert advice and direction regarding the management and operation of all VMWARE clusters
·On-call availability

The proposed salary range for this position is:
