Virtual Key Account Manager - West

The Key Account Manager, Virtual Engagement will have responsibilities for marketing and selling Akebia products to targeted health care offices and providers that are in “whitespace” or are “established accounts.” This is a critical role within the Commercial & Sales organization driving both field capabilities and sales impacts.

Skillfully deliver core selling messaging for assigned promoted products Ensure that sample and literature requests are generated accurately and perform appropriate follow up and investigation on product shipments as needed Maintain database entries on targeted customer calls including attempts, product discussions, literature requests, and sample requests Cultivate assigned virtual territory & be accountable for measurable results Communicate about Akebia resources leveraging outbound and inbound channels to maintain and grow Akebia business

 

Basic Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree  5+ years pharma/account management selling experience Possess valid driver’s license Occasional travel for live customer meetings may be required

 Preferred Qualifications: 

Graduate business or healthcare related degree preferred Buy and bill experience and success   Biologic/biotech sales and reimbursement experience   Nephrology therapeutic area experience 

Compensation:

Targeted Base: 130,864 - 161,581*

*Base Compensation for this role will depend on a number of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Base pay is only one component of the company’s total rewards package, all regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or the incentive compensation program (if applicable), as well as equity. Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, etc.
