Virtual Sales Representative - Chicago, IL

Position Purpose:

The Virtual Sales Representative works to build strong relationships with our Professional customers and executes a sales strategy to profitably grow sales for assigned accounts to support the organization's goals and increases the company's market share. The role is responsible for the full sales cycle for respective book of business, both existing and new, through attaining assigned sales plans and gross margin targets.  This is done by prospecting new business, generating interest negotiating projects, developing sales solutions to meet customer’s needs, closing sales and effective and timely issue resolution. The Virtual Sales Rep must demonstrate broad product and services knowledge and utilize comprehensive business acumen and a knowledge of other functional departments to support the growth of their portfolio and effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners. This position is remote to a designated market and the Virtual Sales Representative must meet the technology requirements to work remotely. 

Key Responsibilities:

30% - Inbound Account Sales & Service: Resolve customer challenges by investigating problems and developing sustainable and scalable solutions in collaboration with a professional support team - Follow-up on completed orders for feedback. Resolve Order and delivery issues with a professional support team. Transact and tender, when necessary, with a professional support team.10% - Account Review & Development:  Engage with sales leadership to review sales calls, provide account insights and sales plan opportunities with manager - Periodic training on products, processes, and strategy.60% - Outbound Account Sales and Service - Strategically manage and maintain account relationship. Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound warm/hot calls and emails. Execute a sales strategy for assigned customer portfolio. Effectively communicate competitive strengths to account customers and develop strategic goals to acquire incremental business. Deliver on growth of sales and profit goals, pro-actively adjusting to market changes. Close sales and achieve sales plan. Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest. Drive incremental sales growth with assigned customer portfolio. Understand customer needs and requirements.

Travel Requirements:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.


Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Preferred Education:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
