Visiting Assistant Professor, Neuroscience

The Neuroscience Program at Skidmore College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Neuroscience to begin Fall 2025. This position will serve to strengthen the interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program at Skidmore College. The teaching-load averages nine contact hours per semester. This position covers such courses as Introductory Neuroscience with lab and intermediate- or upper-level courses in the candidate’s subspecialty; ideally, we seek to supplement our current faculty offerings by hiring someone who brings new expertise and course topics to our curriculum.
Candidates must be firmly committed to undergraduate education. Qualifications: a Ph.D in Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field at the time of hire.
Pay range: $66,000 - $70,000
Pay Ranges:
The hiring rate for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:
+ Prior relevant work or industry experience.
+ Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
+ Academic discipline (faculty pay ranges reflect 9-month annual salary).
+ Unique applicable skills.
