Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Skidmore College invites applications for two full-time Visiting Assistant Professors for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 academic years. Each is a two-year position. Each position involves teaching 18 contact hours per year, which is typically a 3:2 course load. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience. The successful candidate will be able to teach entry- and intermediate-level courses in our mathematics curriculum, including courses in the calculus sequence and linear algebra.
Qualifications: A doctorate (or ABD status) in mathematics or a closely related field is required.

Starting pay range: $66,000-$70,000

+ Academic discipline (faculty pay ranges reflect 9-month annual salary).
