Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, welcomes applicants for a/an Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics to begin Spring 2025.

This is a temporary position (for spring 2025 semester) as a visiting assistant professor of physics. Primary duties will include teaching 15 semester credit hours (lectures – 3 credit/course, and labs - 2 credit/course) per semester of introductory lectures and laboratories in Physics for science majors and non-majors. Duties also include service on departmental, university, and professional committees. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace. 

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate must hold a doctorate degree in Physics, or in a closely related discipline. ABDs will also be considered, but applicants must have earned a doctorate before January 2025. We strongly encourage candidates with previous experience teaching.
