Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics
The Department of Physics at Hobart and William Smith Colleges invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor to begin August 1, 2025. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, one-year position with a teaching load of five or six courses. The salary range for this position is $46,036 - $63,499. Candidates with a Ph.D. in physics or its equivalent are strongly preferred, but A.B.D. will be considered. We seek a physicist with a genuine interest in teaching and liberal arts education. We are open to all research areas. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and graduate transcript (scanned copy acceptable) and arrange to have three or more confidential letters of reference sent via Interfolio. Ideally at least two of the letters of reference should speak to the applicant's teaching ability.
