Yes If Temporary, enter End Date: 05/31/2025 Position Summary The Kinesiology Department at SUNY Cortland is accepting applications for a visiting lecturer or visiting assistant professor to teach four courses or 12 credit hours per semester and hold appropriate office hours. Major Responsibilities The department typically hires for the courses/subject areas listed below but this list is not all inclusive. Other courses/subject areas may become available within the department. ILLUSTRATIVE NEEDS INCLUDE: Social Problems and Issues in Sport and Exercise, Performance Enhancing Drugs in Sport Functional and Supervisory Relationships A visiting lecturer or visiting assistant professor works under the direct supervision of the department chairperson and collaborates closely with faculty and staff within the department. Additional working relationships with faculty and staff in other college departments are possible.

Required Qualifications Visiting Lecturer Master’s degree in Kinesiology or closely related field

Visiting Assistant ProfessorEarned doctorate in Kinesiology or closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications ABD or PhD in Kinesiology with a pedagogical emphasis in sport sociology.
