Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Visiting Researcher in Radiation Oncology/Cancer Biology at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.

The primary purpose of the Visiting Researcher position is to work under the direction of the principal investigator. Under direction, this position performs and assists with technical laboratory procedures and analyses in support of specialized research activities of the laboratory. The primary job is to conduct research investigation into the regulation and function of important signaling involved in cancer, in particular, tumor suppressor p53 and a multifunctional cytokine LIF.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

Performs cellular and mouse experiments that are proposed in the grant, with a specific focus on the function of the p53 pathway in tumorigenesis and the regulation of the p53 pathway under the direction of the principal investigator. Responsible for maintaining research databases on the computer. Publishes scientific research papers/articles. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date.
