Through this community of healers, scientists, and scholars, Rutgers is equipped as never before to transform lives. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Visiting Researcher for the department of Pharmacology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, conducts specialized research on using cellular and mouse models for evaluating efficacy of experimental drugs/ or experimental biologic therapeutics for treating cancer.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Assists in the establishment of experimental protocols, performance standards, as well as in the selection of methodology and instrumentation. Those include, but are not limited to, molecular characterizations of oncogenic pathways and parameters in cellular models and in mice.  Assists in conducting a continuous program of research and development. Evaluates existing procedures and proposes modifications or changes in order to keep the methodology and procedures current.  As assigned, performs various research and technical procedures. Those technical research and technical procedures include, but are not limited to, using CRISPR gene editing technology for cell and gene therapy development, research in cellular and mouse models.  Assists with instructing, mentoring and training of graduate/undergraduate students and lab assistants as required.  Keep detailed records of procedures and experiments; may be required to compile data and present findings and results at laboratory meetings and/or national meetings.   Submits purchase recommendations, to supervisor, of equipment and supplies.  Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
