Visitor Control Specialist (JWAC)

 

Bowhead seeks a part time Visitor Control Specialist to support our Joint Warfare Analysis Center contract in Dahlgren, VA. The Visitor Control Specialist will provide multi-disciplinary security support, including aspects of special security, information security, personnel security, operations security, industrial security, physical security, communications security and anti-terrorism/force protection duties, while also being responsive and flexible to dynamic security situations in accordance with regulations and another applicable to Air Focre polices and guidance’s.

Responsibilities Comply with and follow all Standard Operating Procedures.Site Security Personnel will be responsible for safeguarding all customer Government property and controlled forms provided for Contractor use, and securing all Government facilities, equipment, and materials during and at the end of the work period. There shall be no more than one (1) safeguarding error per year that results in a security infraction and zero that result in a violation.Will maintain all combinations and keys issued to Contractor personnel are accounted for and not used by unauthorized persons.Monitor customer alarm systems during hours of operation. Alarm monitoring responsibilities will transfer to and from the installation outside of hours of operation. The Contractor shall be able to assess and execute actions to resolve the alarm conditions. Alarms include but are not limited to security, fire, and active shooter. Actions that require further investigation or follow on actions will be completed in a timely manner.Notify the customer Security Office within fifteen (15) minutes and the installation as required. IAW the customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).The Contractor shall perform perimeter security checks as directed by the Government. The Contractor shall notify the customer Security Office of any of security related issues in or around customer facilities. Any security breaches or potential threats shall be reported to the IAW the customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)The Contractor shall secure all Government facilities, equipment, and materials at the end of each work period in accordance with customer Security operating procedures.Schedule van requests for customer Government, civilian, and military personnel only, provide vehicle keys and trip logs to requestors prior to trip, and secure same items upon their return. Qualifications Must have a High School diploma at minimum. Work experience in similar line of work will be viewed favorably.Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point.Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated strong attention to detail.Demonstrated skills in prioritization and multi-tasking.Be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

Must be able to lift up to 10-20 poundsMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must posses an active security clearance at the Top Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Top Secret clearance at this location.
