Visitor Relations Specialist B

Contract Position

$22.53-$28.16/Hour

Responsibilities:

Deliver world-class guest experiences at the company Future of Flight, a premier public attraction showcasing aviation innovation and STEM education. As a Visitor Relations Specialist, you will engage with guests, lead interactive tours, facilitate activities, and serve as a brand ambassador for the company while supporting daily operations and special events.Provide exceptional customer service to create memorable experiences for a diverse audience.Memorize and deliver scripted presentations, such as the Everett Factory Tour, the company Backstage Pass, and STEM activities, incorporating updates as needed.Lead tours for groups of up to 52 attendees and deliver theater presentations for up to 200 attendees.Facilitate ticket purchases, assist with visitor check-in, and provide wayfinding services for both the Future of Flight and Everett Factory sites.Actively engage with visitors to share gallery and exhibit information, supporting STEM-focused interactive activities such as robotics and drones.Assist with daily operations, including ticketing, tech setup for events, and maintaining program schedules.Respond to safety concerns, assist with visitor evacuations, and implement safety training when necessary.Work collaboratively with the team to ensure position coverage, rotations, and timely execution of programs.Maintain punctual attendance, follow team rotation and break schedules, and adapt to flexible work hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Complete mandatory training and participate in team meetings and skill-building activities.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:High School Diploma or GED combined with 1+ year of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.1+ year of experience in customer-facing roles requiring strong communication skills.Experience in roles involving public speaking, training, teaching, or acting.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand or walk for up to six hours per shift.Ability to speak for up to 90 minutes at a time, multiple times daily.Comfortable with occasional stair climbing, reaching, lifting up to 20 pounds, and other physical activities.Preferred:Six months of experience giving public tours or delivering public presentations.Six months of experience with event or exhibit-related technology or point-of-sale (POS) systems.Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and ticketing systems.Experience with the company or the company Future of Flight operations.Education and experience acquired through an Associate degree or vocational training preferred.
