Summary

We are looking for a talented and self-motivated video editor and graphic design specialist with a passion for digital storytelling to develop compelling visual media supporting our internal and external communications efforts. Experienced in multi-media production for both short-form as well as long-form videos, the Visual Media Specialist II will be responsible for supporting the creation of product videos, engineering demos, branding campaigns, and digital advertisements. Occasionally, this position may require hands-on media capture and production at various locations, assisting small production crews.

Reporting to the Creative Marketing Manager, the Visual Media Specialist II will be working closely with 3D artists, graphic designers, media vendors, and other marketing and design specialists to produce quality media content. While a large part of this role will be editing short-form video content in a quick-paced, creative marketing environment, the Visual Media Specialist II will also be responsible for managing and delivering high-quality, long-form narrative videos that feature the company’s many innovative accomplishments.

Position Responsibilities:

Develop and execute short and long form video/mixed media content for use in a variety of marketing channelsDrive pre-production, production and post-production processes for developing contentCollaborate with key stakeholders to make well-informed, creative decisionsAssist as videographer/photographer on location for production shoots and demosFamiliarize with company by organizing an anthology of past video workSupport the management of internal and external resources. Identify, negotiate and book external resources, as neededEnsure all clients' needs are heard, understood and addressed in a timely manner. Providing clear client communications regarding roles and responsibilities, schedules, and statusOrganize and maintain our media style guide and video asset libraryAttend & present weekly project status meetingsIncorporate mixed media trends, including motion graphics and graphic design into video productionsAct as backup creative on overflow projects such as advertisements, graphics, web banners and other 2D graphics projectsWork closely with product marketing and sales teams to incorporate product branding, positioning, and messaging into designs

Open to feedback and providing criticism to ensure the creative marketing team continues growing and improving

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

Bachelor degree is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience5 years of video editing experience on Mac with Adobe PremiereUp to 2 years’ experience in graphic design role within a Corporate Marketing department

Ability to execute projects with little guidance and manage small production shoots with little to no assistanceExperience with lighting setups and recording soundMotion Graphics experience a plusProficient in industry leading software packages including: Adobe Creative Cloud Applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsPro-active attitude; seeking and disseminating information, solutions-orientedAttention to detailAbility to multi-task, organize, and collaborateAbility to work in a high-pressure environment

Physical Demands:

Able to work in an office environment (Constant) Able to carry and move various production equipment and video/photography gear up to 25 lbs. (Occasional) Required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent) 

Special Requirements:

U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.Ability to travel to demonstrations, events, trade shows, and other activations (up to 15%) Flexible work schedule and overtime may be required periodicallyPreferably located within 50 miles of the Moorpark/Simi Valley offices

The salary range for this role is:

$88,000 - $124,740

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
