THE JOB:
The primary responsibility of the Assistant Shift Manager of VLT (Slots) is to manage the daily operations of Slot Operations staff during their assigned shift. This role places a strong emphasis on fostering employee engagement, delivering exceptional guest service, protecting company assets, and ensuring that staff fulfill their duties effectively. All tasks must be performed in accordance with departmental guidelines and property policies.


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Implement strategies to engage and motivate employees, create a positive work environment, address concerns, and retain top talent.

Maintain regular communication with team members to share important updates, actively listen to feedback, and exemplify the S.H.O.W. standards.

Develop and mentor hourly employees, helping them achieve their career goals while ensuring alignment with departmental objectives and performance standards.

Provide exceptional guest service that aligns with the company’s and property’s core service standards.

Inspire and entertain by making a strong commitment to S.H.O.W. and holding the team accountable for upholding these values.

Set clear expectations for the team, ensuring adherence to departmental and company policies.

Assist with staff scheduling to ensure that company service standards are consistently met.

Train, instruct, and implement service initiatives and company programs to the team to ensure alignment with standards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Excellent customer service skills and communication skills

Able to communicate professionally with upper management

Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

Working knowledge of gaming regulations

Ability to lead & mentor a team

Ability to manage individual staff and work teams effectively, fairly, consistently and in accordance with established company principles / policies / procedures / guidelines

Has a bachelor's degree or minimum of 2 years of guest service experience, slot, hospitality, and/or other relevant professional experience
