Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. This rehabilitation counselor's primary responsibility is to provide support, guidance, and counseling services to individuals who are blind or visually impaired. The goal is to assist clients in overcoming challenges related to their visual impairment and help them become independent and gain employment. This role involves assessing clients' needs, developing rehabilitation plans, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure holistic support.
