**Description:**
Coordinator for VOICE activities for St. Joseph County. Provide and coordinate tobacco prevention and advocacy activities with youth in St. Joseph County. This position is grant funded through Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation (ITPC). Position requires frequent interaction with adults and youth.
1. Actively demonstrates the organization’s mission, core values, behavior standards, and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values.
2. Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety and medical information.
3. Works closely with leaders from local schools, universities, religious organizations, hospitals, human services, civic, parent, local businesses, and neighborhood groups, etc. Seeks their input and commitment for VOICE initiatives.
4. Compiles and disseminates VOICE activities and updates.
5. Assists local VOICE groups in recruiting adult and youth volunteers to achieve the mission and goal of VOICE.
6. Works closely with VOICE movements with ITPC to comply with grant guidelines and reporting requirements.
7. Assists ITPC with data collection regarding youth smoking/tobacco use.
8. Organizes and facilitates regular meetings with VOICE Action Core Group.
9. Actively participates in and regularly attends ITPC conference calls, partner trainings, partner meetings and cluster meetings.
10. Helps facilitate statewide initiative.
11. Assures that a communication mechanism is developed and maintained to keep VOICE Core Action Group members aware of activities and events.
12. Provides and develops resources to VOICE Action Core Group.
13. Provides and encourages participation in regional anti-messaging events.
14. Assists in building and strengthening VOICE Action Core Group in St. Joseph County
15. Provides tobacco/vaping prevention education sessions at local schools and youth-serving organizations.
15. Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.
