Voice Core VoIP Engineer
Description We are on the lookout for a VoIP Engineer to join our client's team, based in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role is pivotal within our Communications sector, where the focus will be on designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining VoIP Class 5 systems, including the NetSapiens SNAPsolution suite and Insights Pro monitoring solution. Responsibilities + Designs, develops, configures and sustains engineering support of VoIP Class 5 systems including NetSapiens SNAPsolution suite, Insights Pro monitoring solution, APIs and approved third party applications. + Works closely with business partners, network engineering and VoIP vendors to design and support future VoIP services and provide strategic and architectural issue resolution within the network. + Develops standard configurations, procedures and guidelines for selecting, installing and deploying integrated solutions and platforms within the VoIP environment. + Develops detailed testing documentation and thoroughly tests proposed solutions in a lab environment. + Generates and executes test plans to ensure the correct implementation of Voice services. + Follows through with vendors for timely resolution of issues; verifies fixes delivered by vendors. + Provides Tier 3 support as needed toward the analysis and resolution of escalating troubles/issues from Technical Support personnel. + Plans, documents, tests, and implements disaster recovery models at all levels of the telephony network. + Keeps abreast of industry and technology trends, available products and services in support of IP Telephony and custom applications. Coaches and provides technical guidance to Technical Support staff as needed.Robert Half's client in Scottsdale, Arizona, is seeking a VoIP Sales Engineer. The VoIP Sales Engineer (VoIP SE) will increase sales and customer satisfaction by providing sales, technical and application support for SIP and UCaaS services. Working closely with Sales, Customer Service, Resellers, Customers, and technology partners, the VoIP SE will provide partner and end user demonstrations, VoIP solution design, application support and implementation support. The VoIP SE will support VoIP/SIP product and application and feature development, working closely with technology partners and product development to research and test solutions. In constant communication with Resellers, the VoIP SE will train, inform, and educate them on wholesale services, technology enhancements and implementation/provisioning processes. WESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Supports Sales and Resellers with the partner and end customer demonstration and design of VoIP solutions. + Creates technical and sales presentations; assists with proposal and RFP support. + Researches and tests new applications, IP endpoints, features and products. + Provides technical and provisioning training and educates Resellers on products, features, processes and essential resources. + Researches, organizes and updates technical documentation required by Sales and Marketing services. + Assists in design and enhancements to wholesale processes and automation. + Supports operations, Resellers and customers by performing switch provisioning for rush orders or as dictated by order volume. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. + Five (5) years of experience in VoIP Telephony system configuration and implementation in a commercial service provider or interconnect environment is required. + Two (2) years of experience configuring and provisioning hosted VoIP solutions in a soft switch platform. Experience with Metaswitch, NetSapiens, and Microsoft Teams Phone System platforms is preferred. + Demonstrated working knowledge of IP configurations, LAN, VLAN, IAD, SD-Wan, and firewall set-up is required. + Demonstrated working knowledge of cloud-based services including hosted VoIP PBX and SIP trunking is required. + Demonstrated working knowledge of PSTN, PRI, Trunks, POTs and other associated voice technologies is required. + Must demonstrate a broad and in-depth understanding of VoIP Telephony business applications.
