Voice Network Engineer
Job Description Participate in a 6-week on-call rotation for network and VoIP support. Administer LAN/WAN systems, including routers, switches, security appliances, and SBCs (e.g., AudioCodes). Configure and troubleshoot SBCs, ensuring integration with Microsoft Teams and compliance with telephony protocols (e.g., SRTP, E911). Maintain security, backup, redundancy strategies, and disaster recovery plans. Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting for network and VoIP issues, using tools like Wireshark. Align network and voice systems with business objectives and recommend technology improvements. Manage network equipment inventory, software licenses, and maintenance schedules. Document and update infrastructure procedures, policies, and system configurations. Skills and Requirements Bachelors or Associate Degree with at least 4+ years relevant experience Extensive experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting SBCs (e.g., AudioCodes) and integrating with Microsoft Teams or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of securing VoIP systems, including encryption protocols (SRTP, TLS) and addressing security threats. Experience with network solutions, including routers, switches, security appliances, wireless controllers, access points, and IPAM services (DNS, DHCP, NTP). Advanced troubleshooting skills using diagnostic tools like Wireshark. Ability to design and implement high availability (HA) and failover configurations. Knowledge of compliance standards, such as E911 for voice services. Proven ability to document incidents, tasks, and configurations accurately.
