Voice Provisioning Specialist
Job Summary This position will be responsible for provisioning, tracking, and testing of new voice services to our customers as well as making changes to existing services. Individuals will work with Field Service Technicians and other FirstLight teams deployed in the field, vendors, and other departments as required. Ideal candidates will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and can adapt their style to the needs of our clients. They will be a team player and will assist others as needed or assigned. Responsibilities + Provision voice service orders in our Metaswitch and C15, as well as various external equipment (Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Adtran IAD’s, Cisco Endpoints, Polycom Endpoints, Panasonic Endpoints). Services include but are not limited to: POTS, Centrex, Voicemail, SIP Lines, SIP Trunks, PRI, Channelized T1’s and VoIP Products. + Assign and maintain Plant records for voice services. + Provide remote support for FirstLight Teams deployed in the field. + Build and test all SIP phones before installation when required. At deployment, be available to make test calls, make on the fly changes, and troubleshoot configuration issues. + Provide support to our Repair department and other teams as needed. + Work with clients and colleagues to develop and offer alternative options to satisfy clients. + Answer product and service inquiries from other internal departments. + Work a flexible schedule (based on management direction) to accommodate client implementations before and after regular business hours. + Provide “on call” assistance after hours as needed to help troubleshoot and solve technical issues for voice customers. + Demonstrate strong desire to develop new technical knowledge and professional skills on a continual basis, expected to be a good team player and responsibly deliver results that benefit clients and the team. + All other duties as assigned by Supervisor/ Manager. Education or Experience High School Diploma and a minimum of two (2) years relevant telecommunications experience.
