Responsibilities:
Configure, maintain, troubleshoot and fix issues of the data network and telephony systems (ISDN,VoIP, VoSIP, Teleconferencing Devices etc.), and associated technologies in conformity with DoD processes and standards. Exceptional customer service and support skills in a high visibility environment. Fundamental knowledge of the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/IP protocol suite and must be well-versed with the MAC and IP addresses. Demonstrated problem analysis and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to monitor the performance and health of voice network infrastructure, and resolve issues. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve voice network-related incidents. Support the design, implementation, and optimization of voice network solutions. Provide support to network architects and engineers to develop and implement voice network enhancements. Configure and manage voice protocols. Prioritize voice traffic and ensure high-quality voice communication.
Required Experience:
3+ years of related Voice Technician experience 3+ years of related IT/telecommunications experience working within the DOD environment
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience
Certifications:
One or more active network certifications OR related Telephony Certifications from Avaya, Nortel, AT&T, etc.
