Voluntary Benefits Specialist

Summary:

Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Voluntary Benefits Specialist to join our Employee Benefits team!

Job Duties:

Manage a book of Voluntary Benefits in conjunction with the VB Producer and core EB Teams

Respond promptly and professionally to the service needs of our clients and account management team

Work with Producer and EB Teams to fully understand client objectives and strategies

Coordinate implementations of new VB lines of coverage and act as a liaison to online platforms, in conjunction with data analyst team

Prepare and update communication materials (BAGs, PowerPoints, Brainshark), in coordination with the Core EB Teams

Prepare, print, and, in certain cases, deliver communication materials to clients

Manage, organize, and conduct client meetings, to include in person and virtual open enrollment meetings, in conjunction with core EB Team

Stay abreast of changes in the insurance industry and other external conditions that may impact clients; and make appropriate recommendations to clients in response to those changes

Act as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve service issues

Work with carriers to resolve and be able to troubleshoot claims and billing issues

Appropriately document transactions with clients and carrier representatives

Update broker management systems (Benefit Point) as required

Identify opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell of HUB products and services when appropriate

Qualifications:

2-5 years of Employee Benefits experience, preferably within an agency

Current Life, Accident & Health Producer’s License

High school diploma required, college degree preferred

Strong ability to listen and prioritize

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Proficient presenting to clients and their employees

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Ability to utilize and be proficient in broker management systems

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to collaborate with team members

The annual compensation range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000, depending on experience
