The Opportunity
Employment Type:Permanent Part Time 0.3 FTE Hours of Work:8:00 AM- 4:15 PM Tuesday and ThursdayStart Date: Until FilledWages:$28.42 per hour
As the lead for volunteer services within the facility, you will be responsible for the development of the volunteer program within a large long-term care centre that supports residents’ well-being and participation. The recruitment, retention and recognition of volunteers is a vital component to being successful in this position. You bring strong team building skills, an open mind, flexibility, integrity and the ability to influence and facilitate change. You will also have a strong desire to adapt to the changing needs and trends that are taking place in the area of volunteerism.
A post-secondary diploma in Volunteer Program Administration (or equivalent) is required. You have a minimum of 3 years experience in volunteer management. You are a self-directed individual with excellent time management and interpersonal skills. You have the ability to communicate effectively, build and maintain good interpersonal relationships, and work in a multi-disciplinary team environment. You have a genuine interest in working with the aged and chronically ill. You are required to have the Alberta Food Safe Basics.
